TUESDAY, NOVEMBER 22

Beginning at 8 a.m., Richmond Assembly of God Church is hosting a Coffee Shop. Menu includes coffee, biscuits and gravy. Free will donation, all proceeds benefit the Men’s Ministry Alliance projects.

At 7 p.m., the Fourth Tuesday Grief Support Group will meet at the United Christian Presbyterian Church, 501 N. Spartan Dr., in Richmond. anyone dealing with issues of loss and grief is welcome to attend. For more information, call Mary Alice Blakeman 816-517-9343.

WEDNESDAY, NOVEMBER 23

From 7 a.m. to 2 p.m., RCMH Auxiliary is hosting a Book Sale in the hospital gift shop. The shop also offers plenty of giftware suitable for holiday gift-giving.

From 4 to 5 p.m., Hardin Loaves and Fishes Food Pantry will be at Hardin United Methodist Church. This is for all Hardin/Stet residents in need. Participants must register at 660-398-4532.

THURSDAY AND FRIDAY, NOVEMBER 24 & 25

Closed. The Richmond News will be closed Thursday, Nov. 24 and Friday, Nov. 25 and will resume regular business hours at 8 a.m., Monday, Nov. 28. Ray County Senior Services will be closed these two days as well.

THURSDAY, NOVEMBER 24

Beginning at 7:30 a.m. with registration, the Hardin, Missouri 7th Annual Turkey Trot 5K Run/Walk and 1 Mile Race will kick off at Hardin City Hall. Race begins at 8 a.m. Early bird registration deadline is 4 p.m., Thursday, Nov. 17.  Race proceeds benefit Hardin Loaves and Fishes food pantry. Race will take place rain or shine. Registration forms may be picked up at Hardin City Hall, Hardin Post Office or Merchants & Farmers Bank.

All day. It’s Small Business Saturday in downtown Lexington.

At 10:30 a.m., the Never Alone group of Narcotics Anonymous meets at 108 W. North Main St., Richmond.

From 7 to 11 p.m., the Harry Ritchie Band will perform at the Eagleton Center. Cost for the evening is $10.

MONDAY, NOVEMBER 28

At 10 a.m. and 1 p.m., it’s family story time at Ray County Library, 215 E. Lexington St. Planned activities will help develop early literacy skills targeted for kids age 0-5. Children age 2 and younger must have an adult with them.

From 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., a Blood Drive will be hosted by Richmond Chamber of Commerce in the community room at Ray County Library, 215 East Lexington St., Richmond. From 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m., Tri-County Mental Health Services Family Support Group will meet in the day program area of Tri-County’s offices at the Northland Human Services Center, 3100 NE 83rd St., Kansas City North. Discussion includes ideas for supporting a friend, family member or loved one with mental illness, along with sharing and support from others with similar experiences. Refreshments will be served.
